Development Officer – Digital Fundraising

About the role

The Development Officer, Digital Fundraising will manage and grow UBC’s digital fundraising initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, faculty, and external partners, you will drive high‑impact campaigns that support the university’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Administer fundraising programs, including research, strategy development, proposal preparation, and donor stewardship.
• Move fundraising accounts through the donor cycle and achieve an annual revenue target of $0.75‑1.5 M.
• Support senior university administration by managing complex relationships with multi‑unit stakeholders.
• Participate in comprehensive plans to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major‑gift prospects and donors.
• Assist in developing strategies for closing gifts and meeting annual work‑plan goals.
• Report to a manager, director, senior director/assistant dean, or executive director of development.
• Collaborate with UBC faculty, staff, donors, and community organizations.
