Development & Construction Coordinator

About the role

Nicola Real Estate, the real‑estate division of Nicola Wealth, is seeking a Development & Construction Coordinator to support the delivery of commercial real‑estate projects from early‑stage development through construction and close‑out. Based in Vancouver, this hybrid position works closely with both Development and Construction teams, providing coordination, documentation and stakeholder communication across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate due‑diligence activities and manage consultants (planning, environmental, survey, geotechnical).
• Track municipal approvals, rezoning, development permits and building permits.
• Support design coordination, maintain drawing logs and organise project documentation.
• Assist with development budgets, pro‑formas, schedules and consultant invoice tracking.
• Facilitate tendering and procurement processes, including bid coordination.
• Maintain construction logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders) and monitor schedules, milestones and progress.
• Prepare monthly draws, cost reports and budget tracking.
• Provide document control, prepare meeting minutes, action logs and project reports.
• Coordinate communication between consultants, contractors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Motivated, detail‑oriented professional with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development and construction stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience supporting real‑estate development or construction projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project documentation and control systems.
• Familiarity with construction and development processes.
