Designer, Sustainability

About the role

NORR is looking for a Designer, Sustainability to join its global Sustainability Team. Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, you will help deliver sustainable design services, ensure compliance with certifications and regulations, and support the firm’s ESG objectives across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Document and coordinate compliance with certifications such as LEED, Green Globes, Fitwel, WELL, and Passivhaus.
• Create bespoke sustainability programs aligned with client ESG goals.
• Monitor and document compliance with federal, state/provincial, and municipal sustainability ordinances.
• Administer specialty services including charettes, daylight, LCA, and LCCA modeling, and develop green building standards.
• Coordinate resilience, climate‑risk, and mitigation strategies for clients.
• Provide internal QA/QC to embed sustainability measures into projects and specifications.
• Support NORR’s AIA 2030 and SE 2050 commitments and CSR/ESG initiatives.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and promote environmental awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple specialty services listed above.
• Knowledge of leading certification programs; LEED, Green Globes, Fitwel, WELL, or Passivhaus credentials are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with One Click LCA.
• Familiarity with Cove.tool.
• Strong MS Office skills.
