Department Manager, Pharmacy

About the role

London Drugs is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Department Manager to lead its pharmacy team in delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused services. This position combines professional pharmacy expertise with people‑management responsibilities in a fast‑growing retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and ensure the pharmacy meets high standards of practice.
• Oversee hiring, scheduling, payroll and ongoing training for pharmacy staff.
• Utilise pharmacy technicians and technology to free pharmacists for clinical duties.
• Engage in patient counseling, medication reviews, disease‑management and compliance programs.
• Participate in community seminars, workshops and other outreach activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Valid Registered Pharmacist licence in good standing with the provincial college.
• 1‑2 years of community pharmacy experience (management experience preferred).
• Strong communication, customer service and staff‑relation skills.
• Ability to work quickly, multitask and perform under pressure.
