Day Shift Supervisor

About the role

BWXT Medical Ltd. is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor to lead the manufacturing operations for radiopharmaceuticals, medical isotopes, and related medical devices. The role is based on‑site in Kanata, Ontario, and involves direct oversight of the day‑shift team, ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards while driving production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technicians performing high‑risk radioactive product manufacturing.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, GMP, and regulatory policies on the manufacturing floor.
• Review radiopharmaceutical batch records for completeness and verify calculations.
• Participate in product release decisions, confirming that released products meet approved specifications.
• Represent site management during the day shift and interact with the unionized workforce.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and operational performance.

Required profile

• Experience supervising manufacturing or production staff in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP and safety requirements for radioactive materials.
• Ability to make critical decisions that impact product quality and business outcomes.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with management, union representatives, and team members.
