Database Manager & Donor Engagement

About the role

Mulgrave School is seeking a Database Manager & Donor Engagement to lead its advancement database and support fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Vice‑President of Advancement, the role combines data stewardship with donor relationship management to maximise revenue and communication impact.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity, security and quality of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database, including data audits, imports/exports and routine improvements.
• Process gifts, manage batch entries, issue tax receipts and reconcile donation data with the Finance department.
• Develop queries and reports for direct appeals, email campaigns, events and ad‑hoc projects.
• Provide training and support to Advancement staff on database use and best practices.
• Conduct prospect research, donor wealth screening and create philanthropic profiles to inform fundraising strategy.
• Manage donor stewardship communications and support multi‑year pledge tracking.

Required profile

• Canadian residency and legal right to work in Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and at least five years of experience managing relational databases and fundraising data.
• Proven experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, data import/export, query design and report generation.
• Familiarity with CRA donation regulations and financial reconciliation.

• Google Workspace.
• Tableau for data visualisation.
• SQL or relational‑database query skills.
• Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
