Data Science Internship – Winter 2027

About the role

Join EQ Bank’s Data Science Co‑op team for a winter term (January‑April 2027) and help turn raw data into actionable insights that drive customer growth and business performance. You will work on predictive modeling, customer analytics, and performance measurement to personalize journeys and improve marketing effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer, campaign, and business data to generate insights supporting onboarding, activation, engagement and growth strategies.
• Assist in developing, monitoring and evaluating Next Best Action (NBA) strategies using analytics, modeling and testing methodologies.
• Support analysis of customer journeys and marketing campaigns to identify improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards and performance‑tracking tools for key business metrics.
• Partner with Marketing, Product and Analytics teams to enable data‑driven decision‑making and campaign measurement.
• Automate and improve data preparation, reporting and analytical processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Academic focus in mathematics, statistics, business or another quantitative discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with programming languages such as PySpark, SQL or Python.
• Expertise in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to propose creative solutions.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned work.
• Team player who is results‑oriented.
