Data Protection and Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑focused Data Protection and Security Specialist to safeguard our data assets and ensure full compliance with international and local privacy regulations. You will act as the guardian of data integrity, overseeing access monitoring, backup strategies, and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce company‑wide data handling, storage and backup policies.
• Monitor system access logs to detect and investigate unauthorized activity.
• Coordinate compliance efforts with GDPR, local data protection laws and relevant industry standards.
• Conduct regular data privacy audits, risk assessments and access‑control reviews.
• Provide training to staff on data security protocols and best practices for information handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Law, Information Systems or a related field.
• Deep understanding of GDPR or equivalent local data protection regulations.
• Proven experience developing data handling, retention and backup policies.
• Strong auditing background with focus on access control and data privacy.
• Excellent documentation and policy‑writing abilities.
