Data Internship – Fall 2026

About the role

We are looking for a motivated data intern to join Desjardins Group for the Fall 2026 term. The internship offers hands‑on experience across information analytics, advanced AI research, machine‑learning operations and data governance, supporting the company’s data‑driven strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support information analytics by creating visual reports in Tableau or Power BI and providing data‑driven recommendations to internal partners.
• Assist advanced analytics teams in evaluating and prototyping generative AI models, synthetic data pipelines and multimodal language models.
• Work with data scientists and IT specialists on MLOps tasks, including CI/CD pipeline implementation, model deployment and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain APIs and SDKs that expose analytical models to production applications.
• Document metadata, prepare loading templates and help classify data assets in the governance catalogue.

Required profile

• Internship must be creditable toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Fluency in French.
• Strong foundation in software development and object‑oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, SAS and SQL for data analysis.
• Understanding of machine‑learning algorithms, deep‑learning frameworks (Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and generative‑AI concepts.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
