Data Center Technician Internship

About the role
Join Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation team as a Data Center Technician Intern. You will work on the physical infrastructure that powers services such as Azure, Office 365, and Xbox, gaining hands‑on experience in a world‑class datacenter environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support deployment of on‑site datacenter physical infrastructure.
- Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware components.
- Handle data‑bearing devices such as hard drives and solid‑state drives.
- Operate within a ticket‑based system to resolve technical issues.
- Move equipment safely using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting tools.
- Assist the Datacenter Inventory and Asset Management Team with shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- At least one year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check and relevant security screenings.
