Data Analyst – Securities Master File Team

About the role

The Data Service Delivery, Securities Master File (SMF) team at RBC Investor Services is looking for a Data Analyst to ensure accurate and timely set‑up and delivery of securities data across multiple applications. You will play a key part in supporting the bank’s core products by maintaining high‑quality data and meeting client deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries promptly to maintain service quality and client retention.
• Verify and resolve discrepancies in security set‑up information with vendor sources.
• Coordinate with business units to receive and process security set‑up data.
• Set up a variety of public and private securities, including funds, bonds, and money‑market instruments.
• Perform end‑of‑day checks for same‑day requests and follow established procedures.
• Monitor and follow up on set‑up issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in cross‑training, provide coverage during absences, and escalate issues as needed.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of the securities industry.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical thinking and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Nice‑to‑have: Canadian Securities Course designation.
