Data Analyst – Retail Planning & Reporting

About the role

Carter’s Inc., North America’s largest apparel retailer for babies and young children, is looking for a data‑driven analyst to support planning, pricing, assortment and allocation decisions across its Canadian operations. You will turn large retail data sets into actionable insights that help senior leaders make faster, more informed choices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex Tableau dashboards, standardized reports and self‑service solutions for the Planning & Allocation team.
• Perform data validation, quality‑assurance and troubleshooting to ensure report accuracy.
• Write and maintain advanced SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Provide training and documentation on Tableau (or the adopted BI tool) for business users.
• Collaborate with the corporate BI team and cross‑functional project leads to support timeline tracking and project delivery.
• Prepare data‑driven presentations and insights for senior retail leadership and external partners.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a Data Analyst role.
• Advanced proficiency with Tableau.
• Strong SQL skills for querying large data sets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
