Cybersecurity Intern – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers students or recent graduates hands‑on experience supporting daily security operations and contributing to real‑world projects alongside seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and help identify potential threats.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and basic security testing.
• Research emerging threats, attack techniques, and mitigation strategies.
• Document security findings, reports, and technical documentation.
• Participate in incident response activities under senior guidance.
• Support security awareness and compliance initiatives.
• Use industry‑standard cybersecurity tools and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, or cybersecurity concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Genuine interest in information security.

Required skills

• Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Awareness of firewalls, phishing, malware, authentication and access control.
• Exposure to tools like Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite (or similar).
• Basic scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
