Cyber Security Analyst – Hybrid (Toronto)

About the role

As a Cyber Security Analyst you will serve as the first line of defense for the client’s global infrastructure, monitoring security events, triaging incidents and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. The position works in a 24/7/365 environment and is based in Toronto with a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite).

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security events using industry‑standard case management and SIEM tools, analyze data to identify threats, vulnerabilities and malicious patterns.
• Provide recommendations to improve detection capabilities and ensure alignment with regulations and best practices.
• Triage and investigate incidents, classify severity, act as first responder and document investigations.
• Collaborate with incident management, threat intelligence and insider‑threat teams, escalates incidents and produce activity reports.
• Drive remediation of operational impacts to security tools, propose automation and process improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mentor peers and stay current with industry trends.
