Cyber Security Analyst – AI Focus (Toronto)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Cyber Security Analyst to lead AI‑powered cyber defence initiatives for one of Canada’s largest banking institutions. The role combines deep cybersecurity expertise with AI/GenAI security to protect critical banking systems and data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑driven solutions for threat detection, fraud prevention, security operations and cyber analytics.
• Define and enforce security controls for AI/GenAI platforms, covering model security, data protection, adversarial‑attack mitigation and secure AI lifecycle management.
• Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with AI deployments using industry frameworks.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, risk, compliance and technology teams to establish AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Develop security architectures for cloud, data and AI platforms in a highly regulated banking environment.
• Lead cyber‑strategy assessments, threat modelling and executive‑level security advisory engagements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or cyber risk.
• Hands‑on experience with AI security, GenAI security, SOC, threat detection, cloud security or cyber architecture.
• Background working in banking, financial services or other regulated industries.

Required skills

• AI/ML security, LLM security, prompt injection mitigation, data leakage prevention, model governance.
• Security controls for AI/GenAI platforms and secure AI lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience with Microsoft Security Copilot, Azure AI Security, AWS Security Services, Google Vertex AI Security.
• Cyber‑risk assessment, threat modelling and security architecture design.
