Customer Service Representative – Part‑Time

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Customer Service Representatives to join the Recreation department at City Hall on a part‑time, temporary basis. In this front‑line position you will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing information on programs, facilities and services while delivering a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers, answer inquiries about programs, facilities and bookings.
• Handle telephone calls, respond to concerns professionally, and upsell program offerings where appropriate.
• Process payments for registrations, memberships, facility bookings and point‑of‑sale transactions.
• Balance daily revenue, complete cash‑handling paperwork and generate reports.
• Perform opening and closing duties, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and report incidents.
• Support the Facility Clerk and assist with concessions operations as needed.
• Adhere to corporate policies, confidentiality guidelines, emergency procedures and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum age 16 (18 for Peel Village Golf Course locations).
• Intermediate computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays on a 24‑hour workweek schedule.
