CQI Registered Practical Nurse – Greater Toronto Area

About the role

CareRx is seeking a CQI Registered Practical Nurse to join its growing team in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area. The role focuses on conducting quality improvement audits of medication management systems in long‑term care and retirement homes, and providing educational support to care partners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality assurance audits of medication management processes in LTC and retirement homes.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Consultant Pharmacist to communicate audit findings and develop action plans.
• Maintain ongoing communication with nurses, Directors of Care, and Wellness Managers regarding system improvements and compliance.
• Provide educational support and training to unregulated care providers within facilities.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Designated Manager.

Required profile

• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Strong ability to manage changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience conducting quality improvement audits.
• Knowledge of medication management systems in long‑term care settings.
• Ability to develop and deliver educational content to care staff.
