Course Lecturer – Media, Technology, and Education (Fall 2026)

About the role

We are seeking a Course Lecturer to deliver the Fall 2026 course “Media, Technology, and Education” (EDEC 262 782) for the Office of First Nations and Inuit Education. The role involves orienting pre‑service teachers to educational technology equipment, theories, and applications within Indigenous school settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled classroom sessions in Gesgapegiag from November 23 to December 14, 2026, covering media, technology, and education content.
• Participate in course coordination and planning activities online approximately two weeks before the start date.
• Adapt and modify course materials to reflect the educational, social, and cultural context of the community.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent research/professional experience) related to educational technology.
• Expert knowledge of the course content and the Quebec Education Program curriculum.
• Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies of the Ministère de l’Éducation and the impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities.
• Experience teaching in Quebec elementary schools, preferably within Indigenous communities, and developing curriculum grounded in Indigenous knowledge.
