About the role
McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach CPAG 225 – Foundations of Public Regulations and Ethics in the Public Sector. The position involves delivering lectures, leading discussions, and assessing student performance in an English-language environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver course content for CPAG 225, including lectures, seminars, and case studies.
- Develop assessment materials such as exams, assignments, and grading rubrics.
- Provide academic guidance and feedback to undergraduate students.
- Stay current with developments in Canadian law, public administration, and ethics.
- Contribute to departmental activities and academic research as applicable.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a related field (PhD preferred) and a university law degree.
- Member in good standing with the Bar of Quebec.
- Teaching experience at the university or corporate level.
- Minimum five consecutive years of professional experience practicing law within the Canadian legal system, especially in public administration and the public sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in ethics, ethical theories, and legal frameworks in Canada and Quebec.
- Experience in public policy analysis, public administration, or a leadership role in government.

- In‑depth knowledge of Canadian and Quebec legal frameworks.
- Expertise in public sector ethics and policy analysis.
- Strong research and academic writing abilities.
