About the role

The Peter Guo‑hua Fu School of Architecture at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach ARCH 201 – Communication, Behavior & Architecture during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves leading studio‑based design exercises, lectures, seminars and field trips.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction for ARCH 201, covering design judgement, communication skills, and architectural concepts such as light, scale, space, form and colour.
• Guide students through model making, photography, sketching, and architectural drawing exercises.
• Coordinate with the Studio Coordinator and Director to align course material with University Calendar regulations and CACB Student Performance Criteria.
• Collaborate with co‑instructors to plan scope, schedule, assignments, and assessment criteria.
• Manage student workload and ensure timely feedback and evaluation.

Required profile

• External candidates with appropriate academic qualifications in architecture or related fields.
• Experience teaching studio‑based architecture courses at the undergraduate level.
• Ability to work in a team‑taught environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
