Course Lecturer – Educational Psychology (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Office of First Nations and Inuit Education at McGill University seeks two qualified Course Lecturers to teach EDPE 300 (Educational Psychology) during the Fall 2026 term. The position runs from October 12 to December 4, 2026, with classes held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 9:15 pm at the Kahnawà:ke campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and facilitate learning activities for EDPE 300, covering theories of development, learning, motivation, and individual differences.
• Design and grade assessments, ensuring alignment with the Quebec Education Program and MELS competencies.
• Integrate inclusive education practices and Indigenous perspectives into course content.
• Stay current with advances in educational psychology and incorporate relevant research and technology.
• Collaborate with the partnering school board to meet curriculum requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Educational Psychology, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Learning Sciences, Human Development, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of educational and psychological theories and their application in authentic settings.
• Experience teaching at the college/university level or professional experience teaching K‑12.
• Familiarity with MELS requirements, the Quebec Education Program, and the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the integration of Indigenous perspectives.
