About the role

The Peter Guo‑hua Fu School of Architecture at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for the Winter 2027 term to teach ARCH 241 – Architectural Structures 1. This fixed‑term appointment runs from January 4 to April 30, 2027, with classes scheduled Monday and Wednesday mornings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials for ARCH 241, covering structural engineering and construction principles.
• Prepare and update course materials, including digital resources and design examples.
• Assess student work, assign grades, and provide feedback.
• Maintain office hours and support students in understanding course concepts.

Required profile

• First professional degree in engineering (B.Eng. or M.Eng.) with recognized expertise in structural engineering and construction.
• Active participation in structural engineering practice with strong architectural association.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience in architecture or a related field.
