About the role
The Peter Guo‑hua Fu School of Architecture at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for ARCH 303 – Design and Construction 1 for the Fall 2026 term. The role involves teaching a studio that explores building design, social, technological, environmental, and symbolic aspects.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and studio sessions covering design theory, site analysis, program development, and documentation.
- Guide students through precedent studies, design proposals, urban design, and detailed documentation.
- Coordinate with co‑instructors and administration to finalize scope, schedule, evaluation methods, and assignments.
- Assess student work through midterm and final reviews.
Required profile
- M.Arch. or equivalent first professional degree.
- Professional practice experience in architecture.
- Post‑secondary teaching experience in architecture.
- Active involvement in the profession.

- Fixed‑term appointment from August 31 to December 31, 2026 (6 credits).
