About the role
The McGill Institute for Aerospace Engineering seeks an experienced professional to serve as Course Lecturer for the undergraduate course AERO 410 – Aerospace Design and Certification Process. The role involves delivering weekly lectures, preparing course materials, and guiding students through the design and certification workflow.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver a 3‑hour lecture each Wednesday during the Winter 2027 term.
- Prepare and update lecture slides, case studies, and assessment tools from January 5 to April 14, 2027.
- Assess student assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Provide feedback and support to students, fostering problem‑solving skills.
- Coordinate with the institute to ensure alignment with curriculum standards.
Required profile
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably a licensed professional engineer).
- At least ten years of experience in aerospace certification and design.
- Extensive experience managing aerospace engineering teams.
- Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong analytical abilities and a flexible teaching approach.
