Country Head Canada

About the role

The Country Head Canada will lead all commercial and strategic activities for the organization across Canada. Reporting to headquarters, the role combines sales leadership, market development and partnership management to drive growth in the Canadian pharmaceutical market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee country‑wide operations, including sales, marketing and strategic planning.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders such as wholesalers, pharmacy chains, Health Canada and other regulators.
• Create and manage the product portfolio, develop business strategies, control budgets and drive revenue growth.
• Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives, identify market opportunities and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with marketing, medical affairs and regulatory teams to ensure cohesive go‑to‑market plans.
• Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts and resource allocation to maximise ROI and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations.
• Lead a diverse, geographically dispersed sales team and maintain strong collaboration with the head office in India.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10–15 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep understanding of the Canadian healthcare system and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Established relationships with major wholesalers and pharmacy chains in Canada.
• Experience managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
