Corporate Tax Senior Associate (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Corporate Tax Senior Associate in Montreal, working within its Industry Tax Practice. The role focuses on tax planning, compliance and strategy, advising clients on how to optimise their tax positions and navigate complex tax regulations. It follows the departure of a valued team member and ensures continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance and strategy
• Work as part of a team solving complex business issues from strategy to execution
• Invite and give evidence-based feedback in a timely and constructive way
• Collaborate effectively with others and work with existing processes while suggesting improvements
• Validate data and analysis for accuracy and relevance
• Follow risk management and compliance procedures
• Stay up to date with technical developments in the business area
• Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
• Explore learning opportunities across the PwC network and uphold the firm's code of ethics

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a professional services firm or in industry, including a minimum of 1-2 years in tax consulting and/or compliance
• Fluency in English and French, as collaboration with English-speaking clients, colleagues and stakeholders is required
• Ability to identify tax consulting opportunities and to market services to existing and prospective clients

Required skills

• Strong technical background and broad-based tax skills
• Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and sound business sense
• Knowledge of corporate tax planning, business tax returns, BEPS, controlled foreign companies and corporate interest restriction

The salary range is $42,700 - $71,300, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also take part in variable incentive pay programs.
