Corporate Tax Manager – Real Estate Investment

About the role

Our client, a well‑established Canadian real estate investment and management firm, is looking for a hands‑on Corporate Tax Manager to join its in‑house finance and tax team. This role offers exposure to complex real‑estate and private‑equity fund structures while combining tax compliance with strategic planning and transaction support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership and trust tax returns and related filings.
• Manage tax compliance across complex real‑estate investment and partnership structures.
• Maintain tax working papers, reconciliations, provisions and tax attributes.
• Support tax planning and execution of acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings and other transactions.
• Research Canadian tax issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Assist with CRA correspondence, audits, enquiries and other tax matters.
• Collaborate with internal business teams and external tax advisors.
• Contribute to special projects, finance initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 5+ years of progressive Canadian tax experience in public accounting, real‑estate, private equity, family office or sophisticated in‑house environments.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate and partnership tax, including complex partnership structures.
• Proven ability to handle hands‑on tax preparation and execution with significant responsibility.
• Excellent analytical, research and communication skills.
