Corporate Accountant – Accounting & Operations Associate

About the role

Halmont Properties Corporation is seeking a highly organized, self‑motivated professional to join its private family office team in downtown Toronto. The role combines accounting, financial reporting, and corporate administration within a small, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records across multiple asset classes, including public and privately held companies.
• Support public company reporting processes and coordinate with external auditors.
• Prepare tax schedules and supporting documentation for external advisors.
• Assist with corporate administrative matters such as banking relationships, corporate records, and securities transfers.
• Support day‑to‑day operations of a small professional office and handle various operational and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Experience preparing accounting and financial statements; commitment to pursuing CPA designation.
• Comfortable working in a small, hands‑on team environment.
• Real‑estate, investment, or asset‑management accounting experience is a strong asset.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage competing priorities independently.
• Professional discretion when handling sensitive financial and corporate information.
