About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join Swagat Restaurant in Surrey, BC. The role focuses on preparing South Indian vegetarian dishes and supporting a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate special events, plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals as instructed.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Order supplies, maintain inventory, and keep records of food and equipment.
- Train, supervise, and recruit kitchen staff and helpers.
- Organise buffets, banquets and manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
- Flexibility, teamwork, and ability to work in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment.
