Cook – Restaurant Kitchen

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our team at Tashkent Uzbek Cuisine in Vancouver. You will work in a fast‑paced restaurant kitchen preparing a variety of dishes, including vegetarian, gluten‑free and halal options, while ensuring high food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, accommodating food allergies and intolerances.
• Maintain inventory, record supplies and equipment, and keep the kitchen clean.
• Prepare doughs, batters, icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
• Perform light cleaning duties and support overall kitchen operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist in menu planning for special dietary needs.

• Good judgement, organized and reliable.
• Team player with strong time‑management skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a repetitive‑task environment.
