About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Aburi Sushi in Winnipeg. The role focuses on preparing Japanese cuisine and ensuring high-quality meals for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and Japanese cuisine items.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Organize buffets and banquets and manage kitchen operations.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience working as a cook in a restaurant setting.
- Flexible availability for shift, evening, night, weekend and overtime work.
- Ability to follow dietary instructions and handle food allergies.
