About the role
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at India's Taste Fine Indian Cuisine & Sweets in Brampton. The role involves preparing a diverse range of dishes, supporting special events, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate special events, buffets and banquets.
- Determine portion sizes, costs and plan menus.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes across Szechuan, Thai, East Indian, vegetarian and vegan cuisines.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, recruit and hire new team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- 2 to less than 3 years of cooking experience in a restaurant setting.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail, initiative, organization and strong teamwork skills.
- Bondable security clearance.
