About the role
Yama Kitchen is seeking an experienced Cook to join our restaurant team in Kelowna. The role involves preparing high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and supporting staff.
Key responsibilities
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
