About the role
We are looking for a dedicated cook to join our team at Café Buade in Québec. The role involves preparing and cooking meals for our restaurant guests while ensuring quality and consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
- Plan menus, estimate food requirements and requisition supplies.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals as directed.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas, maintain inventory and records.
- Order supplies and equipment, keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Required profile
- 2–3 years of experience working as a cook in a restaurant setting.
- Client‑focused, dependable, flexible, and able to work well in a team.
- Good judgment, organized, reliable and able to handle varied shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in English or French as required by the posting.
