About the role
Yum Yum Tree is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team in Kelowna, BC. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of meals while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This full‑time permanent position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment serving diverse customers.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes for customers.
- Prepare special dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Train staff in proper preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques.
- Clean kitchen workstations and equipment regularly.
- Organize buffets and banquet setups as required.
Required profile
- Demonstrated client focus and reliability.
- Strong dependability, initiative, and sound judgement.
- Organized and able to work effectively as a team player.
- Minimum 1 to less than 2 years of cooking experience.
- High school graduation certificate (secondary education).
