Cook – Fast Food Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cook to join our KFC Bridgewater team in Winnipeg. In this fast‑paced fast‑food environment you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
• Order supplies and equipment needed for daily operations.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Maintain inventory and accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas regularly.
• Recruit and hire new kitchen personnel as needed.
• Organise buffets and banquets for special events.
• Manage overall kitchen operations to meet service standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding setting, handling heavy loads and standing for long periods.
• Dependable, flexible, good judgement, organized and a strong team player.
