Controller – Manufacturing Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function for a fast‑growing manufacturing company. The role will report directly to the VP of Finance and work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight and drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own full accounting cycle with emphasis on month‑end close, cost accounting and gross‑margin analysis.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations across all business units.
• Support implementation, optimization and maintenance of a new ERP system.
• Advise on technical accounting matters, policy changes, entity restructurings and complex accounting issues.
• Develop scalable accounting processes, internal controls and financial systems.
• Partner with executives on budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and performance reporting.
• Ensure regulatory and tax compliance and produce accurate financial statements.
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing accounting team and drive automation initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA designation with at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven track record establishing processes and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools.
• Data‑analytics capabilities for process automation and reporting.
• Cost‑accounting system knowledge.
