About the role

Duravent is seeking a Factory Controller to lead cost accounting and financial analysis for its Laval manufacturing site. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost data, supporting budgeting, and driving profitability improvements across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze profit margins and identify opportunities to improve plant profitability.
• Support operational teams in feasibility studies for new investments.
• Calculate technical changes to bill of materials and update standard costs annually.
• Develop and maintain financial analysis tools for the Laval facility.
• Manage inventory accounting, including physical inventories and obsolescence assessments.
• Assist in the preparation of the plant and distribution centre budgets.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly management reports on financial performance.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities and justify balance‑sheet accounts.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting; CPA designation is a plus.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a plant controller or in a comparable role.
• Advanced bilingual proficiency (French/English).
• Strong time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of current accounting standards.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP (preferred).
