Continuous Instructor, Crane and Hoist Program

About the role

The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is seeking a Continuous Instructor for its Crane & Hoist Equipment Operator program at the Spruce Grove Campus. This role involves delivering hands‑on training to students preparing to operate boom trucks, mobile cranes, and advanced rigging equipment, while fostering a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in classroom, laboratory, and industry settings.
• Participate in curriculum development, program and course reviews.
• Facilitate learning using instructional strategies that ensure efficient delivery of course material.
• Manage instructional delivery and set a safe, effective learning climate.
• Create assessment tools, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate records.
• Provide early coaching and tutoring to maximize student success and retention.
• Address student issues promptly and professionally.
• Utilize educational technology for presentations, communications, and program promotion.
