Consultant – Value and Risk Advisory

About the role

Join JLL’s Value and Risk Advisory team in Ottawa as a Consultant, providing real‑estate valuation insights to Canada’s largest pension funds, REITs and institutional investors. You will work on CUSPAP‑conforming appraisal reports across the Core 4 asset classes and contribute to a national valuation platform that delivered over $3.6 trillion in asset valuations in 2025.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare CUSPAP‑conforming appraisal reports for retail, office, industrial and residential assets across Canada.
• Conduct research and gather data from internal and external sources to support valuation analysis.
• Build cash‑flow projections and valuation models using ARGUS Enterprise and other market tools.
• Present valuation findings to clients and provide expert insights on real‑estate values.
• Collaborate with Value and Risk leaders nationwide while maintaining client confidentiality.
• Respond quickly to stakeholder needs, manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Candidate appraiser licence (pursuing or working towards AACI designation).
• Minimum 2 years of full‑time professional experience in commercial real‑estate.
• Strong analytical ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ARGUS Enterprise.
• Advanced use of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Adobe Professional.
