Construction Superintendent – Site Operations Leader

About the role

ASCO is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead all on‑site activities for commercial, industrial and institutional projects in Kingston, Ontario. The successful candidate will ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence while acting as the primary liaison between clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate trades, subcontractors and material deliveries to keep projects on track.
• Ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, codes and environmental standards.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers and clients to communicate milestones.
• Provide safety leadership and enforce site safety protocols.
• Plan, schedule and control construction activities to meet timeline and budget goals.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in industrial, commercial or institutional construction.
• Journeyman‑level trade background is an advantage.
• Gold Seal Certification is a plus.
• Experience managing projects valued between $1 million and $10 million.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Eligibility for security clearances and a valid driver’s licence.
