Construction Superintendent

About the role

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for one of Canada’s leading employee‑owned general contractors. The role is full‑time, permanent, and based in Edmonton with occasional travel across Alberta.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily construction operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence and budget control.
• Manage field staff, subcontractors, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee site safety programs, inspections, and compliance.
• Coordinate budgeting, scheduling, and logistics for projects ranging from $500K to $5M.
• Conduct quality control, project close‑out activities, and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Superintendent with a large general contractor.
• Proven track record managing projects between $500 K and $5 M.
• Ability to lead teams while meeting safety, quality and productivity targets.
• Undergraduate degree.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and Procore Scheduling.
• Experience in budget and schedule management, subcontractor coordination and quality control.
