Construction Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on high‑value, mission‑critical projects in Etobicoke. The role focuses on industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) environments, including data centers and other complex facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily on‑site construction activities and ensure trade sequencing aligns with the master schedule.
• Supervise third‑party subcontractors and Self‑Perform Operations (SPO) crews, managing performance, workforce levels and material logistics.
• Implement and enforce site‑specific health and safety programs, conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and maintain a zero‑harm culture.
• Interpret structural, architectural and complex MEP drawings to guarantee work‑in‑place meets design specifications.
• Track weekly trade production metrics, manage material deliveries and verify monthly estimates for payment applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years of field supervision experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent in the Canadian commercial or industrial market.
• Demonstrated experience on ICI projects, preferably data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, heavy telecom hubs or similar mission‑critical sites.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ministry of Labour safety standards and OHSA regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent trade experience with Gold Seal Certification.
