Construction Project Manager

About the role

SCG Calgary Inc., a subsidiary of Sky Contracting Inc., is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead renovation and construction projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, coordinating internal staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Prepare, manage, and control project budgets; approve expenditures, contracts, and change orders.
• Identify and assess risks, enforce safety regulations, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting timelines to meet deadlines.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, overseeing procurement to avoid delays.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and detailed reports.
• Oversee final inspections, punch‑list completion, and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and quality control processes.
