Construction Manager – Brighton Mountain Wind Farm

About the role

NB Power is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the execution of a major transmission project at the Brighton Mountain Wind Farm. The role will operate on a 24/7 site schedule, alternating 7‑day, 12‑hour shifts with a second manager, ensuring continuous progress from June 2026 to December 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute site mobilization and construction activities.
• Direct, manage, and coordinate all on‑site work, including contractor supervision.
• Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate material delivery with the Materials Planner and ensure timely availability for contractors.
• Monitor schedule performance, quality, safety, and security, identifying and correcting deficiencies.
• Manage change requests, enforce the Field Change Authorization process, and escalate significant impacts.
• Communicate with landowners and stakeholders as required.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and quality control requirements and assist with project close‑out.

Required profile

• Qualified journeyman lineman holding a certificate of qualification under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act.
• Minimum 20 years of NB Power experience as a Power Line Technician (PLT) in substations and terminals, including supervisory duties.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible leadership on construction projects.
• Minimum 8 years of field experience in an industrial environment.
