Construction Labourer – Level 1

About the role

Under the direction of the Civil Superintendent, the Level 1 Labourer will support the successful delivery of heavy‑construction projects across Canada. This hands‑on position involves a variety of physical tasks that keep sites safe, clean, and ready for trade work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general clean‑up duties on site, in trailers, offices, and washrooms.
• Assist with site preparation, including excavation, trenching, and manual digging.
• Support traffic control and maintain safety standards in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
• Help place and strip formwork, restock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Conduct daily site assessments to identify hazards and report them.
• Provide manual labour assistance to tradespeople throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Previous construction or cleaning experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attendance, positive attitude, and valid WHMIS and Working‑at‑Heights certifications.
• Confined‑Space training is a plus.
