About the role
CDC Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join its estimating team. The role focuses on securing new commercial projects across sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, retail, and other tenant improvements within Metro Vancouver.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates based on bid documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Examine and analyze tenders and recommend tender awards.
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide value‑engineering services for clients.
- Prepare construction schedules and develop budgets for construction‑management projects from Class D through Class A.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients.
- Attend site visits for prospective projects.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction.
- Proficiency with MS Project and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
