About the role

You will join the TD Wealth and Asset Management Legal Team in Toronto, providing legal support for TD Asset Management’s institutional and retail businesses, with a primary focus on retail mutual funds and ETFs.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the launch and distribution of new retail mutual funds, ETFs, private pooled and alternative funds.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and investment fund disclosure documentation.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice on investment funds, portfolio management and fund management services.
• Support strategic initiatives, including global distribution projects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage external counsel to meet business objectives.
• Offer guidance on corporate governance and other regulatory matters.
