Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Specialist – Drafting

About the role

Helio Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled CAD Specialist to produce accurate engineering designs and drafting documents for construction projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and clients to translate blueprints into detailed, build‑ready drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and construction specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Develop design sketches, cost estimates, material take‑offs, and tender documents.
• Write technical reports, specifications, and complete documentation packages.
• Examine drawings for conformity, errors, and compliance.
• Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP level education.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in CAD drafting within construction, architecture, or landscape design.
• Ability to work onsite in Edmonton and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
