Compliance Attorney (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Attorney to work remotely on designing realistic regulatory scenarios and evaluating the outputs of advanced language models. The role focuses on high‑stakes domains such as AML/BSA, FCPA, FDA, HIPAA, sanctions, and privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Craft detailed regulatory scenarios covering AML/SAR preparation, OFAC screening, FCPA assessments, FDA submissions, HIPAA reviews, and privacy impact assessments.
• Produce attorney‑level “golden” reference responses that serve as benchmark outputs for model training.
• Assess and grade model‑generated legal responses against structured rubrics, providing written feedback to improve model behavior.
• Participate in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration reviews with the research team.

Required profile

• J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school with an active or inactive U.S. law license.
• Strong experience in regulatory or compliance law within a law firm, in‑house legal department, government agency, or regulatory body.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more specialized domains such as AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, FCPA/anti‑corruption, healthcare regulation, FDA submissions, privacy (GDPR/CCPA), environmental permitting, or export control.
• Exceptional written communication skills with rigorous attention to detail.
